The first light of morning stretched across Hampton Beach, painting the horizon in soft gold. The tide was still and quiet, the kind of stillness that invites you inward — into reflection, into remembrance.
After celebrating my brother Steven’s birthday yesterday and attending our first séance at Hex, I woke before dawn with a gentle nudge from spirit. My father came through so clearly at the séance — proud, at peace, and grateful that I’ve found my path. His words carried into my dreams, reminding me that connection never dies, it simply transforms.
This morning, I felt guided to make a simple offering. A coffee and a jelly doughnut from Dunkin’ — nothing fancy, just something real, something ours. Sitting on the cold stone by the boardwalk, I broke the doughnut in half and shared it with my grandmother, Bunny. I could almost hear her laugh, feel her warmth, and see her hands — the way she’d always try to make things just a little bit better, even when life had other plans.
The act was simple but sacred. It wasn’t about the coffee or the pastry — it was about presence. About acknowledging the line of love that stretches across lifetimes, the ancestors who walked before us, and the unseen support that walks beside us now.
Tonight, we’ll dance at the Witches Ball — adorned, alive, and celebrating the magic of coming home to ourselves. Tomorrow, we’ll head to Beverly, MA, to see Rev Rob’s show at Off Cabot — a perfect close to a weekend of communion, remembrance, and radiant energy.
But this morning will stay with me — this quiet sunrise, this humble offering, this whisper of gratitude between worlds.
Because sometimes, spirit doesn’t speak in thunder or lightning.
Sometimes it speaks through a sunrise and a jelly doughnut. ☕️🍩✨
🔮 Reflection Prompt:
When was the last time you made an offering — not to get something, but to simply say thank you?
Try it today. It doesn’t have to be elaborate.
A cup of tea, a flower, a moment of stillness — and the words, “I remember you.”
